Wednesday is departure day for Leon and Donna. Thinking the flight departure was 12:05 midday, arrangements were made to transport them to Monrovia for Tuesday night at the LCL guesthouse then catch a ride with Nyekeh to the airport in the morning instead of leaving Gbarnga well before sunrise. There’s a new Brussels Airlines office near LCL so I suggested they check their bag there to minimize what they had to lug around. I called the office and discovered their flight was actually 7:10pm. Meanwhile, a taxi was already en route to drive them to Monrovia.
While waiting for the driver, Annie and Amelia sang harmoniously together followed by the five cooks who sang a blessing in Kpelle. Tears and hugs completed the goodbye. See you later, Leon and Donna. Prayers for safe travel today.
