Our first block training session started yesterday morning with 27 participants. Simon did a good job of beginning with the safety basics, overview of major machine components, and soil selection. Shortly after this, my stomach went into hyperdrive and I needed to leave the work site. So my only blog contribution is the few photos I took. I basically spent the rest of the day alternating between the bathroom and sleeping. I feel much better this morning so whatever got me is gone. I’m bummed because I didn’t get to see the inaugural block coming out of the machine. I did find out they made nearly 400 blocks in just the afternoon, which is impressive.
